The rich collections held at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) include books, journals, archives and museum objects relating to the current practice and history of women’s health. The collections are drawn from the RCOG as well as the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and other individuals and institutions working in the field.

This OPAC offers facilities for simple and advanced searching across the archive and library collections held at the RCOG. However, more effective results may be obtained by searching one collection at a time.

The Library Reference Collection is available to visitors during opening hours. The rare books, archives and museum collection are accessible by appointment. RCOG staff reserve the right to refuse access to specific collections which may be damaged via routine handling or which contain sensitive data. Users will be directed to surrogate copies or alternative research resources wherever possible.

If you are struggling to find what you’re looking for or would like to make an appointment to view collections, contact us directly on +44 (0)20 7772 6309 or by emailing or with your enquiry.
